VMware vSphere 7 has come with a new feature known as Kubernetes.VMware called it the biggest vSphere innovation since the launch of the ESXi hypervisor. VMware is trying to solve the modern application development complexity with the help us Kubernetes.

Modern application development is different than traditional application development approach. Now we are API oriented, using the DevOps model with CI/CD pipelines for faster development and deployment. For all this, we need a heterogeneous development environment, which is given with Kubernetes in vSphere7.

This new feature is available with VCF 4.0. VCF stands for VMware Cloud Foundation. VCF is a VMware hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) stack that combines compute, storage, and networking with unified management—vSphere 7 with Kubernetes.

vSphere 7 with Kubernetes delivers essential services for modern hybrid cloud infrastructures powered on VCF 4.0. In vSphere 7 with Kubernetes, VMware delivers embedded Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Services. Tanzu Kubernetes is fully compliant with Kubernetes capabilities for containerized applications. This enables users to use Kubernetes API call and CI/CD approach for application development toward On-Premises, Cloud, or Managed Service Providers(MSP) infrastructures. K8S’s API makes it very simple for use.
