In March 2020, Microsoft made a public announcement of the availability of Microsoft 365 to enterprise customers. Microsoft has renamed Office 365 to Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 has all the productivity apps the same as Office 365 but with a new name and feature.

This is a great initiative from Microsoft towards Digital Transformation and focusing on more productivity.

“Every company’s path to digital transformation is different. Over the next few months, we’ll bring you more resources, as well as interviews with organizations who share their tips and secrets on their own successful transformations and their learnings from these projects on how they harnessed the transformative power of Microsoft 365—the world’s productivity cloud.”,

Stephen Rose, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft 365.

The motives of Microsoft is very clear about that transformation. They just want to design it to help customers to achieve more with innovative Office apps, intelligent cloud services, and world-class security from Microsoft.

Microsoft 365 has four major plans.

  1. Home
  2. Business
  3. Enterprise
  4. Education
